[Linux] Install Pulse Secure (SSL VPN Tool) Notes

The installation steps of Pulse Secure on Windows and Mac OS are similar, but it may be more complicated on Linux, so this installation note is mainly based on the Linux system.

The following command are mainly for Ubuntu/Debian, but other Linux distributions can install, too.


Installation Steps

Step 1. Install Pulse Secure and dependencies packages

Suppose the installation file name of Pluse Secure us: ps-pulse-linux.deb

sudo dpkg -i ps-pulse-linux.deb
sudo apt-get install libwebkitgtk-1.0-0
sudo apt-get install libproxy1-plugin-webkit

Output:

Please refer /usr/local/pulse/README for instructions to launch the Pulse Client

We should see the above message, and we can go to the path to check README file, according the document to configure the environment variable.


Step 2. Run Pulse Secure UI program

/usr/local/pulse/pulseUi

Output:

And then you can press "+" button to add a new connection.
