[Google Sheets] Style Fields When Setting Different Conditions

When I'm using Google Sheets to record my bills, I'd like the numbers I have a surplus to be in green, and losses in red; that's a better way to see what's going on in my records at a glance.

In Google Sheets, we can easily set different conditions, to allow one or more fields display different styles.

Below I will record how to operate, and attach pictures to explain.


How to Set Different Styles

First you need to select the fields you want to adjust, and open settings with Format > Conditional formatting.


You should see the option settings shown on the right as shown below. Here I set a value greater than 0, which is all displayed in bold, italic, underlined and green.


It's not enough to have just one rule, because I also want to add a style that is red for negative numbers; so, I need to click the Add another rule button to add the next similar rule:

The difference is that this time I set the case to be less than 0 and turn it to red.

Then I scribbled in some numbers, and I could see the difference in style between different fields under different conditions:
