When I use WordPress to write blogs, I always use Publicize as a service to connect to various social media, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tumblr... etc., as long as I am posting an article on blog, all social media will also publish the article, which is very convenient.
But one day, the connection of LinkedIn was broken. Since that day, I will never automatically post on LinkedIn anymore. It is really inconvenient to think about it.
The error occurred as shown below:
Even if you select Reconnect, a message like "An error occurred while linking to LinkedIn" will still occurred.
Fortunately, I checked the information on the Internet and followed the steps, disconnected and reconnected from WordPress, and the problem that stuck me for more than half a year was successfully solved.
So I made a note and recorded it.
Solution
Step 1. Remove LinkedIn Authorize External Applications
Login LinkedIn and Select Me=> Settings & Privacy。
Data privacy > Other applications > Permitted services and find authorize of WordPress and remove it.
Step 2. Disconnect the Link of WordPress and LinkedIn
Go to the WordPress Publicize page: Tools > Marketing > Third-party service connection, find LinkedIn and disconnect, and then reconnect again.
This time there will be no more error messages.
