I want to install a Linux distribution I never used with VirtualBox, and I got an error message in the installation:
Not in a hypervisor partition (HVP=0) (VERR_NEM_NOT_AVAILABLE).
VT-x is disabled in the BIOS for all CPU modes (VERR_VMX_MSR_ALL_VMX_DISABLED).
Most of the time, this is because Windows system does not enable virtualization. In order to change the setting, we must enter the BIOS.
Solution
Please check how to go into BIOS model with your device. Different hosts and laptops have different access methods. Among them, Lenovo is rather strange but I used it...
If you used Lenovo, you can refer: https://techsupportwhale.com/enable-virtualization-on-lenovo-computers/
If you cannot find the option of virtualization, you need to query your device BIOS setting document.
In fact, as long as you enable the virtualization option, you can probably solve this problem.
